Christine is passionate about textiles and has been since she was a child watching her own Mum sewing.
She has 32 years' experience teaching pupils aged 5-18+; the last 12 as the specialist teacher of Textiles at The Knights Templar School (KTS) in Baldock. Prior to teaching she worked as a print designer for Ladybird Childrenswear.
Kathryn has also had a love for textiles since a young age. A former KTS pupil who sat D&T specialist Textiles and achieved the top grade for her garment making.
Sewing B's is owned and run by a local mother
and daughter team- Christine & Kathryn Bingham who set up the sewing shop in Baldock opening its doors on 9th November 2015. They more recently gave up the shop front and have moved to working from their home address.
Offering the local community something new,
bringing something fresh and original to people. Where you can pop in to learning a new skill or further your sewing skills.
Together they run classes which are bookable or alternatively you could book up and use a machine by the hour, safe in the knowledge that help is at hand!
They also sell items that they make in-house and they can make them bespoke to your requirements.
Since opening their doors they have also done one off sewing sessions within the community, working with the likes of Knights Templar Sports Centre Kidventure and 4th Baldock Brownies. Their former partnership with North Herts Minority Ethnic Forum (NHEMF) resulted in their running several courses from learning to sew to advanced dressmaking.
